The Trans-Siveron Rail Line, Siveron People's Federation
Zai
"How could you be so reckless?!"
Zai yelled over the sound of the train's wheels. They'd departed with the morning, amidst a heavy snow that got lighter once they got into the countryside towards the mountains.
Rui had waited until well after they'd departed to explain what had really happened. As far as Zai could tell, Vanya bleeding in front of Minister Butler and every news outlet of Siveron was going to be a diplomatic disaster.
She didn't want to think of what would have happened if they'd fallen from that balcony, which was three stories tall.
Rui would survive, but Zai had no idea about Vanya.
"I'm sorry," Rui raised her voice, her hands at her side.
"Your apology isn't going to mean anything if you don't do it right. And if you don't learn to think before you act," Zai replied.
