One week after the Duel of Jade and Steel, Escator surrendered.
A coup had occurred, quietly, three days after the victory to the south. Servicemen calling themselves the Free Officers of Aviye locked down the palace and arrested the top two tiers of the Kingdom's military in a single sweep.
The coup wasn't without incident, and some of the Free Officers were killed storming the King's office, but it was with great relief that General Suleika entered into negotiations with the Admiral that led the insurrection. The last five days had been tense, but as the negotiations continued, peace reigned.
