Xiaodan Xu had a bit of a problem of her own making.
For one thing, she'd gone by her family name and rank for so long that she even thought of herself as "Xu" instead of Xiaodan, especially while in uniform.
After deciding on an early-morning walk, and ordering the guards not to follow her, she discovered she had another name to contend with.
The Ghost.
More specifically the Untraceable Ghost, but Xu preferred the more efficient option.
The name was blasting out over a radio describing the battle at the trench line. A trio of old men sat smoking cigarettes around a Jungle board, behind which was the radio, and a pot of coffee on its own table at the center man's elbow. The aroma was quite tempting to Xu.
