Mt. Dakun, Rebellion-Held Aviye
Amri
Amri chewed her lip as she waited in the command center, one room away from the radio room where General Suleika had put out Amri's warning.
Reports came in two forms, either as messages on paper or shouted by officers who filtered back and forth from the radio room. As the information flowed, senior officers at the war table adjusted tokens representing formations of troops, artillery, and even fortifications.
One fortification marker drew Amri's focus as she tried to push everyone's stressed thoughts and emotions from her mind, and that was the square block on which a yellow-painted raven token was planted, with another raven token sitting on a nearby blob that represented a hill.
It felt like such an impersonal way to represent the danger Zai was in.
Suddenly a new voice was yelling from the door.
