Zai returned to the train station to find Lieutenant Singh waiting in her frame, sitting inside it and against the wall, the front of her cloth armor covered in blood.
Giving Kivi and Yuu over to a medic, Zai went over to the young woman.
"Singh, are you alright?" she asked, placing a hand on the woman's frame.
"Yeah," Lieutenant Singh sniffed heavily. "Tien's alive too but... his hip's crushed. Left leg too. Medic sent him on a truck back to base."
"You did good, getting him out of there..." Zai leaned against the wall next to her.
"Did you kill her?" Singh asked.
"No," Zai replied. "But I made sure she was dead."
Singh looked at her in confusion until Zai explained that it was the civilian man, Yuu, who'd struck the fatal blow.
The moment didn't last long. Eventually, Zai was hunted down by a Captain who told her General Suleika needed a brief.
