Amri
For a long time, the daughters of Mea stared at Amri.
Then Shenmi sighed.
"How did you figure it out?"
"History isn't as forgetful as humanity," Amri quoted.
"Sun Ling Ba, eleventh century," Shiza identified the source of Amri's words.
Amri ignored the interruption. "When Yue was born, I searched for anything I could about void flames, trying to understand so that I could help her. I know about the Hollowed Mothers. I know that void children were made as weapons... and I know that the odds of me and Zai coincidentally producing a child with that condition are infinitesimally small without intervention."
"I take it you haven't found it, then," Shenmi said. "I also take it Yue is your child?"
"My friends and I found it. A way to encase the flame to keep her stable, yet still able to be used." Amri considered what Shenmi had just said. "How could you not know, if you were inside me this whole time?"
