Amri
Describing her experience of the fight took a lot out of Amri. She'd known from the moment he appeared that something was off, having opened up her mind when Zai gave her a massage. Instead of the half-void and quiet clicking, she'd felt only an overwhelming sense of power, pushing what little she felt of Taio beyond her ability to feel.
She'd spent the time Zai fought for trying to pry into that mind, to blank the interloper's emotions, and the one time she succeeded was when the man had felt a sense of intense recollection at Zai for swinging a tree at him. It was the barest crack in his guard, but she'd forced herself into it and managed to blank his emotions, yet even that had not lasted.
If not for Shenmi, everyone would be dead.
Amri took it as a given that she should ask the first question of her.
"Who is Markus?" she asked, staring into Shenmi's eyes.
