"Where do you think you're going" the demon standing in front of us with a sword asked.
She had short black hair, her skin was smooth and fair complexion she was 4 foot 11, but unlike Isabel she had no horns.
She had a cold glare locked on me which sent chills down my spine. It seemed as though she could kill me without moving a muscle.
Although I had gotten stronger than before but I was still a weakling in the eyes of high ranking demon.
Even if I was weak I had to protect Isabel at all cost. I stepped in front of Isabel like a mother bear trying to protect her cub. This made Isabel face turn slightly red as she bent a head down a little but I didn't notice this as I was thinking of a way to defeat the demon standing in front of us.
Before I could finish thinking up a strategy, I was struck in the belly by Maya. I was thrown three feet back as she dashed towards me.
I quickly stood up and tried to avoid the next attack but her agility was way higher than mine. She used the sword in her hands to strike me but before her blade could touch me Isabel deflected it with her sword.
"Don't you dare hurt my darling" Isabel growled at Maya who just had a stoic expression throughout the battle.

They exchanged a few blows but Isabel seemed to be at a disadvantage.
I took a look at Isabel's stat which had more info than before.

Things weren't looking good as Maya was stronger than Isabel from the stats I read and from the battle that was presently going on.
I dashed towards Maya and kicked her as she lifted her hands to block but the force sent her crashing into the wall.
"Let's go!" I said as I pulled Isabel and ran away from the demon who was slowly getting up.
For some reason Isabel kept looking back but I didn't stop running till we got out of the demon lord's castle.
MAYA'S POV
I had just returned from the battle the demon lord had sent me on, and for some reason most of the guards were out and some were knocked out.
I heard a sound coming from the dungeon. Maybe the situation at hand was connected to what was going on down there. I walked towards the dungeon and found the lost princess with a human trash.
I had to find out where she was going with the trash of a human, was he perhaps controlling her somehow? Maybe if I killed him she'd come to her senses.
But for some unknown reason she was protecting this trash.
If I had to fight her to protect her then I would, I couldn't leave her with such a despicable race, but to my surprise the trash actually had a strong kick. I lost the princess once more.
TIM'S POV
Both Isabel and I were seriously drained, I was gasping for air as I hid behind one of the watch towers.
The battle between the demon lord and the anonymous intruders was still ongoing. Honestly I was expecting the demon lord to be done with the battle, and as if the universe was reading my mind, the demon lord walked back in. He had a proud look on his face. It seem as though he had defeated his mortal enemy.
For now it would have been best to quietly live before he noticed us. I decided to take a look at his stat which left me stunned.

"Let's get out of here now" I said to Isabel who had a look on her face, one that I had never seen before.
"Hey don't do anything stupid, we can't take on him now, we can get stronger together and kill the bastard another time" I said to her as she calmed herself.
Unfortunately, he had already sensed us.
"Quietly come to me and I'll spare that maggot" Von said turning towards the tower we were hiding.
I could feel Isabel's emotions, they were a mixed feeling of fear,rage and hate.
Isabel dashed towards Von at an insane speed but was too slow for him. He caught her by the neck and smashed her into the ground. He didn't stop there but kept punching her while covering his hands with mana.

It turned out that Isabel had gotten stronger. I looked at her in awe.
Isabel slowly came out of the crater with a visible red fiery aura around her. She was actually able to encase herself with mana.
Von took a step back in shock, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. His instinct were screaming out and warning him to run.
"How are you able to encase yourself with mana" Von asked with his mouth agape.
Isabel walked slowly towards him with her sword in her hands. The heat from her was slowly melting the ground.
She dashed forward and slashed at Von who barely avoided the attack. Although he avoided it but he didn't go unscathed, blood flowed slowly from his cheek as he lifted his hands in relex and brought down his palm which was now bloodied.
"This little bitch, you got a little strong and now you feel like you can harm me?" Von said has he used his skill (BESERKER)
