In Tristan's room, the three sat on the bed, patiently awaiting a knock from Seraphina.
"Do you think she'll take the bait?" Lily whispered.
Tristan shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe. I mean, I doubt anyone else knows about our plan. We might get lucky. I hope so."
"Yeah, but I can't help but wonder why it took so long for her to get to knock; she should have gotten the call from Gina." Lyla said as she leaned back onto the mattress, crossing her legs underneath her.
"If that little fry tries to betray us, she won't know what hit her." Lily and Lyla said it in unison.
They glanced at each other and stiffled a laugh when Tristan raised an eyebrow at their response.
"You can have your way with her if we aren't sucked into the portal immediately after all of this is over." Tristan assured them with a grin.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Lyla agreed.
