Tristan sat in between Lily and Lyla, quietly enjoying their meal as though nothing had happened a few minutes ago.
Seraphina watched the three of them with a wistful expression, wondering how long the twins would stay in her home.
"Tristan..."
She began with a forced smile, hoping to strike up a conversation with him.
Raising his head, he noticed his spoon was halfway to his mouth and frowned at the disturbance.
"Yes?" he replied with a questioning tone.
"I'm just glad you're okay. You really scared me when you disappeared last night. I didn't know where to start looking for you."
Lily and Lyla shared a look, their brows furrowing, before turning their attention to Tristan.
They had hoped to get some form of explanation from Tristan, but they weren't expecting him to give them a full rundown of what happened to him.
