Evelyn's eyes started to glow with an ethereal light, a hue of emerald green illuminating the dim room. She glanced around frantically, terrified that her classmates would see her in this state. But they were too consumed by their own chaos to notice her.
'That was close,' Evelyn sighed with relief, her attention shifting back to her bleeding palm.
As if following a script she wasn't even aware existed, Evelyn instinctively brought her wounded hand close to her eyes, as if studying the small cut. Her heart pounded in her chest as she did so. Despite her best efforts to suppress her ability, a warm feeling surged through her veins, focusing on her wounded palm.
To her utter shock, the wound began to close on its own, the skin knitting itself together as though sewn by an invisible needle. The bleeding ceased, and within a matter of seconds, there was no evidence of the injury ever existing, leaving Evelyn staring at her now-healed hand in bewilderment.
