He glanced at Doug, who was also looking at him while scratching his chin.
Doug seemed to know what Philip was thinking and simply said, "Don't worry about me. I can just use our connection and borrow your senses. This way, I can see the surroundings clearly too with your night vision."
Philip scoffed. Doing so would still greatly hinder Doug's movement. After all, Doug had no free will to see what he wanted, and it might slow down his reaction speed.
To solve this predicament, Philip turned to Gerald and said, "Can you focus on our rear to defend against the ants?"
Gerald nodded in agreement. Philip could have just given him orders, but he chose to take his feelings into consideration and asked. This earned Gerald's respect and joy for being seen as an equal colleague, not just a team member.
