When the land monsters witnessed their leader dropping to the ground, lifeless, most hastily escaped from Dream City. However, a minority, especially the Furwolds, grew enraged instead, and their attacks became more erratic.
Despite their fury, their numbers weren't sufficient to threaten the citizens who had returned back to the city after escaping earlier.
A full-scale attack ensued as the citizens competed among themselves to kill Furwolds that had the possibility of dropping their psychic orbs.
Simultaneously, some of the more aggressive actors chased the escaping monsters, particularly the bubonic clerics.
Since they moved slower compared to other monsters, they were easy to catch, and with combined efforts, they were killed.
On the other hand, Gerald stood frozen, still unable to believe that they had managed to kill the monster.
