Ever since I got my new broom, my cleaning routine has been so much more fulfilling.
At first, I thought it would just help me reach higher places, but it turned out to be a game changer.
"Moamoa-chan, let's go!"
I playfully swung my broom towards Moyamoya-san and the dirt disappeared just like that. It was like using an eraser tool in photo editing software to effortlessly remove a selected object. Now, part of the ceiling that had never been touched was shining bright.
"What the...?"
I was completely taken aback and couldn't understand what was happening.
Is this broom magical? Did I use magic? Can I use this to clean a large area? Am I a witch?
I wanted someone to explain what was going on, but my limited language skills didn't allow me to express myself clearly. Even when I pointed with the broom, Moyamoya-san couldn't understand me. It was frustrating to not know the norms of this world. In the end, they just smiled and watched me play with the broom, thinking I was excited about cleaning.
The language barrier was too thick to penetrate...
I decided to investigate what had happened later and for now, just be happy that cleaning had become so much easier. Yay!
But then, I got scolded by the maid-in-training, Fran.
"Come on, you're not supposed to play with the broom! It's for cleaning!"
As an older sister figure, she had given me the broom so that I could help with the cleaning. But my behavior made it seem like I was just playing around, which made her unhappy.
However, I don't think the maids, including Fran's mother, expect me to do any actual cleaning. They only want me to play the role of the young lady of the house in a pretend cleaning game. The cleaning maids have their own separate duties and my room is cleaned perfectly while I'm playing elsewhere, except for Moyamoya-san.
By the way, Fran's mother, the head maid, isn't actually in charge of me. She's here to help educate Fran and only spends time with me occasionally.
She's not around right now, which is why my mischievous plan came to mind.
"But the room looks so clean, doesn't it?"
"Well, someone else had cleaned it earlier."
When Fran tried to argue, her enthusiasm dwindled suddenly. Emotions seem to be her weak point, but our hierarchical relationship is well-established.
"Is there anything else to clean?"
"I think we're done for the day."
I successfully carried out the first stage of my plan by informing her that my room was already cleaned and there was nothing left to clean.
The plan was simple. Success or failure would be determined in the next step.
"Then let's go to the place where we haven't cleaned yet!"
"Okay!"
She fell for it easily.
"I'll carry you. Let's go!"
"Hooray, big sister!"
Of course, I don't have the energy to walk there myself, so the maids, mainly Fran, carry me around.
Apart from the first day, Fran secretly led me to rooms that had already been cleaned, but it didn't matter to me since my goal was to use the broom to clean Moyamoya-san. As we moved around, I would secretly swing the broom and Moyamoya-san would disappear before my eyes.
I felt like a magical girl and even hummed the opening song from that show, "Connect..." but the broom didn't make an appearance.
With this broom, I can clean the entire mansion!"
