Chapter 28 - Round Conclusion

Dance to the rhythm. Adapt to the battlefield.

A gunshot is here.

BANG!

Duck under now!

BANG!

"I can read it perfectly now! That explosive melody of yours!" I yelled out to Odo. Odo is taken aback and surprised by my sharp reflexes.

I'm almost there; just one more tune and I can reach him!

BANG!

A gunshot was fired directly at me, but with no hesitation, I thrust at it with pinpoint accuracy.

With no stopping, my power surges at the trembling Odo.

I quickly jumped forward at him while taking the form of a baseball batter. Ready to knock the lights out of him.

Wait, no, something's not right.

He's...

He's smiling, a look of cynical insanity plastered across his face.

Wait... This tune... That Flintlock pistol!

BANG!

Dodging the bullet, it hits the ground like a string.

Wait, what is this? This note...

"Jump up high and fast!" yelled a familiar voice. Vasavi!

Following directions, I thrust into the ground to boost my flight in the air. Explosions sprouted up from the ground just a few milliseconds from where I was standing at the time.

"Thanks a bunch, Vasavi, but how'd you know?" I questioned.

"Praise me more; I enjoy it. How could I know that? Wait. How did I know that?" Vasavi mumbled.

Shit, great! Her amnesia kicked in. We need to give her medications if we have any in this world.

Upon landing back into the destroyed rubble of ground, I look up and see Odo. And he looks at me.

It seems this is the final bout of this Mexican showdown here.

I can't get in close because he'd just run away. And he can't beat me because I am superior— down to every last molecular atom.

I need to come up with something creative right now, like some plot armor or an Isekai protagonist, or I'll die.

I jump to level myself with Odo. Suddenly, my vision is obscured by the sight of a dome of guns, ready to fire at me from every direction. In addition, there are many more floating me at different heights. It reminds me of some blue-jacketed skeleton in the underworld.

Honestly, I could either shit or piss my pants off at this sight right fucking now!

This guy in my world would be known as "a true American."

"Hey, mongrel, just throw me at him like last time. I have an idea." Suggested the cocky Vasavi.

"This better works. Just don't kill him," I stammered as I took the form of throwing a spear.

"My last ditch effort!" I babbled.

"You mean ours?" retorted Vasavi.

"What is this? Communism?" I argued.

"Yes. Now throw me already, you insignificant pile of shit." Vasavi cursed.

I don't think a child should be saying that. Then again, isn't she old as hell? Whatever.

I look at Odo, our eyes locked as we see who makes the first move to strike. His guns or my sentient spear?

I'm putting all my energy into throwing this one: my heart, my soul, my feelings, my pride, my beliefs, and my magic. Vasavi went off course from where it was supposed to go because I threw it off course. Hitting and penetrating one of the guns high up in the air.

Holy shit! I need an Aimbot or a better version of Aim. I swear it just slipped!

As soon as I saw the melody of the gunshots about to be played into this tragedy, I was in. Vasavi suddenly took its course.

Before Odo nor I could react, Vasavi randomly spun, thwacking the muskets out of their course toward Odo.

Rapidly thwacking and bonking his head.

As Odo falls with a face of shock and disbelief, so do the muskets that surround me.

The muskets dispersed into magic particles, except for the one on him.

I walk up to Odo and Vasavi, pick Vasavi up, and question her about what just happened.

"I am sentient, just because I am a spear doesn't mean I am inanimate or living. I can move around in this form just fine." Vasavi explained.

I am surprised, not by my winning, but by having this sentient spear cheat code. I am surprised I wasn't insulted in one of her sentences. Truly, this is a remarkable character development.

The announcer came online with the loudspeaker and announced, "After twelve minutes and thirteen seconds, the winner of the hellish round seven is Nikola Tesla!"

The crowd surrounding me chanted my name in excitement. With me wondering who Nikola Tesla is.

Oh right, that's my fake name as of now. Almost forgot.

Before I decided to leave, I told Vasavi to hang out with her sister in the Treasury while I helped a friend back inside.

Picking up Odo, he gets revived back into his senses, glancing at me.

"Thanks for helping me out here. But that was one hell of a wild card you pulled out of your ass there. I thought I'd win for sure, haha." Odo claimed as he held onto me to fix his head.

Either he's dizzy or has brain damage. Perhaps both, honestly.

"No problem; you're a friend of mine, so of course I'd help you." I laughed.

"Say, what do you call that anyway? I'd like to know," Odo asked.

Uh oh, a named attack. What should it be called?

Uh-oh, I know!

"Call it Indra's Dart!" I exclaimed.
