Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- Reason behind the blindfold!

Haru indeed invited Jinah to a treat of fried chicken but he forgot he was in a new world and a new body. He doesn't even remember his previous life eateries, so how could he have been aware of some decent places here in Korea?

At first, Haru just wanted to have a chat with Jinah but he suddenly felt like extending their conversation. The reason is obvious. And thus he proposed the idea in the spur of the moment.

Fortunately, he had enough time to think because of his skill, which helped Haru rummage through his memories and dig out a place that Haru could consider his destination.

Thankfully, the previous owner of the body was a huge junk food addict and mostly ate outside so it didn't take much time for Haru to decide on a place relatively near the hospital, built on the outskirt of a popular street seller market.

Haru was not an introvert in his previous life and even in the goddess domain, he was in regular contact with many of his teachers and sparring partners who despite being higher beings, chatted with Haru normally.

Thanks to this fact, Haru never let the atmosphere become awkward between them and casually conversed with Jinah all the way toward the restaurant.

Since they shared a common interest and that was books and literacy, Jinah also had a great time talking with Haru, to the point she forgot about her previous reservation but she was aware of where she was going.

Realizing that Haru wasn't taking her to some shady place, she breathed a sigh of relief and reminded herself to believe in others at least a little bit more. But can someone blame the girl for being cautious, knowing how problematic it would be for her oppa if she suddenly gets lost or scammed or something?

He was already facing so many problems already...

Jinah noticed, that despite wearing a blindfold Haru had no problem navigating, and despite such obstruction, his face was handsome enough to gather many gazes from the surrounding.

Now that she looks closely, he...indeed has above average look and good facial features as well. It was just his eyes that caught her most attention, but not like she was going to say anything about it.

The place was heavily crowded but there were enough seats for Jinah and Haru to settle down near the backside, and slightly less noisy as well. The glass bane to their right showed the busy market outside and the lightning of the place played a great role in providing the best atmosphere to relax and enjoy the meal.

"Two medium bucket drum fried chicken, one kimchi dumpling, and two carbonated drinks."

The waiter bowed slightly and after he finished writing the orders, he walked away.

Jinah thought that since Haru mentioned this place is cheap, there would be self-servicing but seeing the lights and decor, she could tell that he lied to her. Not to talk about the prices on the menu as well.

Reading her face which was like an open book, Haru reassured her.

"Don't worry. I have enough allowance to eat outside for the whole month without turning broke."

"Allowance?"

Since Jinah heard him saying that Haru lives alone she thought he must be doing some part-time job or being some online streamer or something. But allowance meant he was under some guardianship which contradicted his previous statement.

But his following words cleared up the doubts.

"I live alone and my adoptive parents send me an allowance every month."

Jinah nodded with the realization as she followed up with a question she might not have asked in normal circumstances. But given their smooth-flowing conversation until now, Jinah thought that it was okay to not remain too much formal with him.

"You live separately?"

Hearing her words, Haru smiled wryly which made Jinah regretful for why she pried so deeply into someone's personal life but before she could have said anything in apology, Haru spoke up, proving the reason for this sudden awkwardness.

"The time when I awakened, my perception made me hear a lot deeper than I should have... making the couple restless since you know during the night...that's why asked to live separately to give them space."

Jinnah's face flushed when she registered his words and understood the meaning behind the couple's activities things. Indeed, she shouldn't have asked.

And looking at Haru's embarrassed face as well, Jinah grew even shyer as she began fanning her face to wash away the blush.

"Ah...you are awakened? You never told me."

To change the topic and shift the mood, Jinah raised her voice slightly higher and asked in a flustered manner.

'Cute... '

Seeing her adorable reaction, Haru thought inwardly as he barely held himself from taking out his phone and snapping tens of pictures and making a collage frame out of it.

That time would come eventually but not now.

"Why do you think I wear this around my eyes, Jinah?"

Replying to her sudden question, Haru gestured toward his blindfold and asked with a small smile, tilting his head to the right. He thought that he had pretty much told a lot of people in the class about his eyes being a factor in his awakening but it seems Jinah really does care only about her studies, to pay attention to her surroundings.

The grey-eyed girl was genuinely taken aback to hear that his eyes were a sign of his being awakened. It was not common for someone to inherit some physical changes in their body like organ alteration because of mana so indeed it was a little surprising to hear it from Haru.

"Sorry to say...but I thought you had some infection or sort..."

Jinah sheepishly chuckled as she realized how wrong she could be about someone even though they have been sharing the same class for months now.

"Don't apologize...it's just if I expose them, my senses heighten and takes a toll on my stamina in return. It's just because I wear this fabric around my head, people assume I am disabled or something."

"Then why don't you wear black glasses? I mean school would allow you that, right?"

Knowing that Haru was a special case, the school undoubtedly would provide him with permission to wear any kind of protection he wants. And since Haru himself seemed uncomfortable with the cloth on his eyes, glasses would be perfect for his situation.

"Hmmm..."

Haru leaned back on his chair in a bit of contemplation but soon he replied in a slightly doubtful tone.

"It's a brilliant idea, but you see... I am still not familiar with the place since I recently came here. Apart from local markets, I don't know places where I can even buy my clothes as well. And since I need extra dark glasses, I doubt I can find them in local shops either. "

It was a lie since Haru's previous self has been wandering around a lot ever since he came here from Japan and naturally know various shopping districts to buy the necessities.

But since Haru found an opportunity he played his dice and let them roll.

Fortunately, he found the numbers he desired as Jinah proposed a brilliant idea.

"Then...how about I help you after tomorrow's parents-teacher meeting?"

A/N: In the next chapter, Jin-Woo would be coming across Haru. Will they converse or how the oppa would react to hearing his sister going on a 'date' with Haru?

God, I am having the chills even thinking about it.
