Jinah was in distress. She knew that there was something massive about to arrive—given she actively heard the conversation between her Oppa and Haru—however, the moment her eyes landed on the dungeon hovering over Seoul, she shuddered all over.
She has skills and confidence however she has yet to fight anything above A-rank. Not to talk about how she has her parents to protect as well. Naturally, being accompanied by Haru she felt all mighty and immortal but being left all alone....she wasn't feeling that confident anymore.
"Jinah! Can you contact your brother?" The urgent voice of her mother brought her out of the reverie as she hurriedly tore her eyes away from the massive gate and looked at the older one.
Jinah took out her phone and tried calling Jin-Woo but to no avail. There was no signal.
"No...I can't." The expression on Kyung-Hye's face; worsened. She looked pale and conflicted. However, being the wife of a hunter she didn't panic and listened to what her husband said,
"You need to calm down and first think about this properly." Il-Hwan kept his hands reassuringly over his wife's shoulders and said, "He is not just our son but the hope of mankind. If we make him worried for us, then our son would become helpless. "
His tone was both stern and soothing—signifying that they shouldn't bother Jin-Woo when the time is so crucial.
It wasn't like Park Kyung-Hye didn't understand that but the heart of a mother couldn't rest at peace just like that.
Suddenly she remembered something and turned towards her daughter, "Haru...can you call him?"
Jinah was about to take her phone out again when suddenly a familiar voice attracted their attention,
"You called me?"
Kyung-Hye was startled but she got over it soon and advanced toward Haru before asking, "Jin-Woo...is he alright?"
Haru warmly smiled at the lady before nodding, "Do you think, when I am around I would let anything happen to your son?" His tone was confident and his usual demeanor allowed the others to feel peace.
However, Kyung-Hye shook her head and softly cupped his cheek before conveying her wish, "I want both of my sons to be safe, okay?"
Haru's expression faltered for a moment hearing those words. A sudden rush of warmth spread across his chest as he helplessly looked at Jinah. Seeing her smiling at him, he redirected his eyes at the older one before holding her hand and assuring her,
"I promise you."

Haru brought Jinah out of the house for a moment before he left and naturally, the Sung couple didn't object.
Jinah held his hand and she squeezed it with enough strength to let Haru know how much worried she was.
They climbed the stairs silently and reached the rooftop.
The weather was quite unpleasant with dark clouds surrounding them and an ugly wormhole distorting the sky.
They remained silent for a long time and stood side by side. The comfort Jinah usually felt beside him wasn't there since she knew he had to leave...to tackle something dangerous.
In all honestly Jinah felt the safest when he was near and knew how strong Haru was. After all, the Goddess had told Jinah the phases through which Haru had gone through and the being he had trained to fight against. In comparison to that, this dungeon didn't seem worthy to be scared of.
However, big or small, when she knows that Haru is going to face some danger she feels her heart becoming restless. Especially after what happened a year ago.
Haru understood her emotions without her telling. He moved to block her vision and brought her close to him. Encircling his hand around her neck and waist he embraced the girl he couldn't see in such an anxious state.
"I thought I had made you confident in me enough...but it seems it wasn't enough."
Her face was pressed against his chest as she shook her head and replied in a sobbing tone, "It's not that I don't trust you...rather, what happened a year ago, makes me terrified."
Haru could understand her stance. He has taken such a massive step without a second thought and abandoned Jinah for several months.
It was a painful experience.
After he returned he sensed how Jinah always remained on edge; caring for his every need and keeping him out of danger. It was like she feared that he would leave her again.
However, "Not even for a day, I would leave you alone. I promise you Jinah that the last separation was the only time when he had to stay away." Parting himself from her a little he looked into her eyes intensely and repeated, "Never again."
"You better not or else I will become a ghost and chase you across the multiverse."
Haru chuckled upon hearing that and softly wiped her tears.
This bliss he experiences, whenever he is around her was addictive and intoxicating. He feels like never letting her go and staying with her all the time.
However, just for this last time, he had to leave her alone for some time and wrap things up with this world. Those winged assholes need to be punished for what they have done.
If not for them then Haru wouldn't have to face so many dungeons at once, have to use such a wide-scale spell, and fall into a coma.
Cupping her cheeks, he leaned forward until their heads were touching before whispering, "Don't worry; you have made me so madly in love with you, that not even death could separate us anymore."
Jinah giggled before whispering back, " I am sure that even the Grim Reaper would die hearing your cheesy lines."
Haru narrowed his eyes and said, "Cheesy huh? Let me see if you find this cheesy as well?" Before she could ask what he meant, her lips were arrested in the hot embrace of his lips.
She closed her eyes and crossed her arms behind his neck before inching closer.
Their lips locked and the heat of their bodies blended.
Every time he kissed her his mind became numb and his heart melted. It was a feeling that he couldn't get enough of.
However, as every good thing, their kiss had to come to an end as well,
"Hoh~What a lovely pair."
