Pendragon woke up with a start, large drops of sweat rolled down his face like blood... maybe it was just a nightmare... just maybe
All he could remember was a winged creature that saved him from another creature with no wings yet so fearful to look upon, what was that? who was this winged creature? which world was he in because this place didn't feel like home? home? where was his home? ...So many questions and all that had resulted to the headache he was experiencing now...
Waking up from bed he took a quick look at his surroundings and this new world he was in "I must find out the answers to all this questions but first I need to know who I am and why am here" with this in mind he stalked towards the door but fell due to his headache
Well not just the headache, he had this pain around his spine like something was trying to break out through his back... "I guess I'll rest a little longer then till this headache subsides"
He woke up barely an hour later...that was indeed strange for him but he could not get his around anything at the moment... wondering what was behind the wooden door of the cottage in which he found himself he deliberately move towards the door, having been bold from birth with god-like features but that was as far as he could remember, nothing about his past seemed clear... he felt older but then younger at the same time.
Beyond the wooden door was a great wooden staircase, indeed it was large to be called a cottage, this was a whole palace he was in... he walked down conscious of his surroundings and ready for anything... from the last step, he moved towards a dining where food had been set for him and took a sit from the great table, indeed it was a nice work of fine craft and workmanship in such a place. After warming himself up he roared upon the food that was set before him, after eating to his full, he moved on to inspect his surroundings with no fear, indeed he had god-like features... his name Pendragon left chills through the spines of even the Supreme gods. He moved around the art gallery and found great pictures and sculptures of the greatest of all warriors which was the legendary "KING OF 🔥 FIRE ROACHES". He hoped to meet the great king someday for he was indeed a god who chose to be a 👑 king, he was the god-king... While he looked on at the sculpture he failed to notice the figures that moved swiftly behind him...
Wind rushed past him at the speed of light but he had seen something in the wind, something which was clearly not mortal...he had little or no fear for this creature that moved with such speed to make any man tremble, in a flash he rushed into the wind hoping to crash into whatever was in the moving Votex but he missed and rather hit the wall on the other side being thrown away by the force of the wind... Hoping to come out of this without a fight, he believed his host was asking for a little show of respect from him he dropped on his knees and bowed his head to the earth in show of respect to this being. His show had worked because he no longer felt the wind but rather he felt a chill go up his spine from the creature standing above him, the wind had stopped and the creature had slowed down a little which was all he needed to attack... Making use of a two-edged sword hanging from his waist he quickly left from his knees into a full thrust at this creature above him, his goal was not to kill the creature who happened to be his host but rather to get a glimpse of what powers it possessed by close up combat, thrusting the sword with full speed he was shocked when all he pierced was wind and nothing more, a light rush of wind from his back alerted him of the creature that approached swiftly behind him and all he could do was duck from the blades that swung past his head in an endless motion... Using the his sword as a shield he cut the arrows that were shot at him even though the creature shot with the speed of light he had confidence in his sword-arm at least. Finally the arrows came to a stop but he was once again sent crashing into the walls of the tower they seemed to be in, rising up slowly he noticed the creature had stopped moving again but this time an arrow was a second away from his 💀skull, rising slowly he dropped his sword and the arrows retreated as if of their own accord. The creature now stood fully above him, lifting his head he got a clear view of what had been in the wind, standing above him was no mortal creature but it had the face of a human, the hands were human and same for the feet too but something on it's head made him stop short, two long antennae on its head that moved like they were under no control and mighty wings from its spine that looked like nothing he had ever seen before, it's chest had flesh which was coated in Gold like it had been glued after it's molten state...it's feet had an endless stream of fine crystals running down from them and when pendragon looked around only then did he notice the small crystals all round the room from the wind earlier, since the creature moved with such speed the crystals had been arranged on the walls and some even decorated the floor making it look like nothing he had seen in his short time here...a constant circle of air always twirled around the creature wherever it went.
Finally after having examined the house to his fill he decided to speak up "Who are you or better still what are you? he said with his eyes still glued to the circle of air that twirled around the creature, in a way it fascinated him... The creature did not answer or act like it had heard a word of what pendragon had said, but rather motioned with his hand for pendragon to follow him, they went through a door that led far beneath the tower and while pendragon was tired of walking, the creature simply soared in his circle of air that always twirled around him. At the end of their long flight of steps that had led them below was a large wooden table with seats well arranged, it must have been arranged for dinner for there was food served and wine poured, without hesitation he pulled a chair and sat down and without any restraint from his host decided to eat what was served before him so he could regain his strength, after he had eaten to his fill he noticed the creature had been observing him and looked rather amused at his humane nature of gluttony... "I am morbius" said the creature without waiting for other questions he stopped short " I am a descendant of the Air-roaches, long long time back the roaches lived in peace under one god who was the king of the fire roaches King Adin". Being a god amongst others the king was set to rule all roaches and even their kings were subject to him because of his great powers and good demeanor at the time , the king had united the roaches from all over and showed them that they could actually live together. The Fire roaches were strong and fast with their wings made of molten flames and their eyes dragon_like, their swords were made from boiling the blood of their enemies in previous walls thus making it look so fiery and fearful, indeed a fire roach could live for a minimum life span of 200 years before maturity level where their wings starts dropping molten fire while in flight, they were so strong and so was their god-king. The Earth-roaches were more goodly to look upon with their hair made of fine soil and eyes earth brown, they had no wings but could leap as far as the earth could lead them to and they possessed the power of controlling the earth itself, their swords were carved from huge boulders and they could win any battle if they wanted to as long as it was fought on ground, better still they had 4 large earth boulders that hovered behind each earth roach as a weapon for them to use whenever danger loomed, indeed the earth roaches were powerful and had agreed to unity which meant their king Din El had to pay homage to the fire king Adan. The air roaches were the most powerful and as such they stayed away from this union because they knew it would not last, the air roaches had circles of air twirling around each roach and their wings were made of fine crystals and sharp gusts of air passed through from their spines into their wings always keeping them off the ground and they were so fast in motion that it was hard for one to even see them, they were peaceful and as long as their King Hugo was alive they could remain that way, he was immortal at the time and did not see death as a threat until one day...
The fire roaches always wanted to be supreme and in control over all the roaches and this was a hard feat for them to achieve and they knew convincing their king would be a difficult task but they could talk some sense into his son Prince Adin Lin who was headstrong and power hungry, after convincing the prince to send out letters declaring that the king of the fire roaches was dead, they moved on to the second part of their plot which was to attract the attention of the king of the air roaches knowing that being a king would not allow him to stay without visiting the prince in order to console him for the supposed death of his father, the fire roaches had also lied to their king that the prince was caught trespassing in the air territory and was outnumbered, over powered and killed. A nice plot it was indeed, when the air king got the letter he wasted no time in going to the fire roach kingdom taking only 2 of his guards with him as he thought going with more would look intimidating to the young prince. Upon his arrival at the roach kingdom he noticed that the fire roaches were mourning for their king or so he thought for indeed great was the plot and the King Adin had ordered the fire roaches to mourn for his son who was said to have been killed by the air roaches, indeed the roaches were mourning out of ignorance and the two kings were both nothing but puppets dancing under the control of Prince Adin lin who seemed to be enjoying the show he had set up.
On reaching the palace the air guards entered first but noticed nothing unusual in their surroundings and walked ahead of their king and as the moved deeper into the palace court they heard mourning sounds coming from a room which seemed to be filled with women, the palace was quite empty or so they thought at that time. The air roaches were very swift but fire roaches could suck out the air dry from their wings making them unable to fly or move, but the guards suspected nothing as this was supposed to be a friendly visit or so they had been wrongly informed. At this point the quietness of the palace had become suspicious and the guards had stopped walking as an order from their King.
Air roaches could sense danger really fast and as a result of this the king had ordered them to stop moving because he sensed fire roaches were approaching them with killing intent and hatred. Wondering what could cause the fire roaches to dare lay an ambush on him he signalled his guards to release a winged message that travels with the speed of air straight to his kingdom asking for backup from his soldiers but what he did not know was that the moment he left his kingdom an army of fire roaches marched towards it from the north ready to attack ones they received a signal from their prince.
The air guard had released the signal but got no signal in return, the released feather from his wing was supposed to return as soon as it was sent to show that the King's army had gotten his message but when the feather did not return after a while they knew something was absolutely wrong and the King ordered them to retreat. "Leaving so soon old friend"? ,turning around to look where the voice came from the guards saw the fire King adin and 15 of his best guards trained to kill standing by the door from which the mourning sounds had come from earlier "My king we have been tricked " said the guard who had sent the signal, he was not scared of the fire roaches as long as his king was here for he alone could destroy the fire roaches in little time, but their King Adin was a threat because of his great strength and he was sure that even their king would need time to defeat the fire roach king if it came to battle.
