It had only been a while since you moved to the countryside and out of the city.
Life was certainly going to be different. You knew that for starters. Apart from that, you basically had no idea what was waiting for you.
As soon as you stepped out of the car, the hustle and bustle of the city and the shouting and chattering seemed to be sucked away in the billowing wind.
Now that you think about it, you only moved here because you wanted to get away from that specific hustle and bustle.
The wind that was pelting the droplets of rain against your face seemed to stop and then start going crazy as it tortured your poor eyes. You began to set off and closed the car boot with your luggage in hand as you struggled across the muddy, soggy, wet dirt.
Your used-to-be clean face scrunched up as you squinted your eyes and trekked onto the porch and to the house.
Honestly, you had just stepped out of the taxi and only then had the rain and wind really picked up. You could even hear the thunder and lighting striking the fields far away.
Luck was not on your side. Clearly. The taxi had long gone and you were left struggling for the keys in your coat pocket. The taut zip did not help. It was practically laughing its non-existent ass off as you tugged at it.
Your thoughts echoed out your tired mouth, 'What a pain. What an absolute pain.'
