Chapter 110 - It's him

The intimate moments between Lady Remilia and me passed swiftly, and as the sun dipped below the horizon, I couldn't help but glance at the clock. The time now read 5:41 PM.

"It's already that time," I murmured, my expression a mix of satisfaction and a tinge of regret at the approaching evening.

As I watched Lady Remilia sleeping serenely, I couldn't help but find her utterly endearing at that moment even in her half-asleep state. Her innocent slumber was a stark contrast to her powerful, often imperious presence.

With a gentle sigh, I reluctantly moved to get out of bed. However, before I could proceed, her delicate yet firm grasp on my arm stopped me in my tracks, her sleepy gaze meeting mine.

"Where are you going?" Remilia inquired her crimson eyes regarding me with curiosity.

"I'm just going to wash my face, Milady," I replied, trying to keep my tone soft and respectful.

Her response was straightforward. "I'm hungry. Get me something."

A warm smile graced my lips as I leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. "As you wish, Milady."

Just as I was about to head for the bathroom, Remilia added, "Shun, please fetch me some clothes as well."

With a nod, I acknowledged her request. "Of course, Milady."

I turned back and nodded at her request, "Of course, Milady. I'll find something suitable for you."

With that, I gently freed my arm from her grasp and made my way to the bathroom. As I washed my face and composed myself, I couldn't help but think about the events of the past few days.

Everything that had transpired felt like a whirlwind, and I needed a moment to collect my thoughts.

Once I finished freshening up, I made my way out of the room, heading to the hotel's dining area.

As I scanned the bustling restaurant, I pondered what Lady Remilia might enjoy for her meal. The savory scent of steak wafted through the air, and I couldn't resist its allure. "There it is," I thought, spotting the source of the tantalizing aroma.

I joined the line and waited my turn, murmuring to myself with a contented smile, "Steak... Steak..."

Then, as I stood in line, my eyes landed on a man sitting at a table nearby. His sharp suit, white beard, and hair, all hinted at his age, perhaps in his forties.

But wait... something about him seemed eerily familiar, and it triggered a nagging sense of déjà vu.

The man's presence began to gnaw at me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I had seen him before.

As the man's gaze locked onto me and his eyes widened with a sense of recognition, I sensed something was amiss. Without any further hesitation, he abruptly got up from his seat and made a swift exit.

My heart raced as I realized who he was - it had to be him.

I dashed through the crowded restaurant, urgently weaving between people, determined to chase him down.

Fuck! Is he really old!?

"Stop right there, old man!" I yelled as I pursued him.

He dashed into an alley, and I continued the chase, cornering him. It was clear he had no escape.

"You... You're supposed to be dead! Rita told me that you committed suicide!" he hissed through clenched teeth.

"You won't leave here alive."

"Will I now? How about you show me the way?" His hand quickly reached for his handgun and fired a shot in my direction.

Instinctively, I evaded the bullet; after all, these ordinary bullets were child's play compared to the supernatural ammunition I had seen in Gensokyo.

That single piece of shit bullet will not hit me.

His shots continued, and I agilely sidestepped each one without shifting from my spot. It didn't take long before the old man's gun was empty, the chamber clicking futilely.

He stared at the now useless weapon, his eyes filled with a mix of frustration and fear.

He dropped the firearm, realizing that he had run out of options.

But I wasn't going to let him off easily; not after what he had done to Lady Siesta.

"You're finished," I said coldly, advancing on him.

"No, No, No! Wait!!" The old man butler pleaded.

But then suddenly, I was jolted by a shock as someone fired a taser into my back.

"What the...!?" I gritted my teeth as the electric surge coursed through me, but my determination kept me on my feet. The taser hadn't brought me down.

"He's not going down!" The other man said from behind, disbelief in his voice.

I turned around slowly, "Ahh...? One of your henchmen, old man?" My lips curled into a sinister smile as I took out the crystal from my pocket and transformed it into my crimson blade. "I see... There is no need for evidence, as it is all of you who killed Siesta!"

I dashed towards the man who had fired the taser, but Remilia suddenly appeared in front of him, manifesting her spear to block my attack.

"Shun..! Stand down! That's my order!!"

"Lady Remilia... Get out of the way."

"Are you ordering me?!" Lady Remilia's eyes blazed with red intensity, and her intimidating aura radiated outward. Passersby in the vicinity began to notice the unusual commotion in the alley.

...

"E-eek!!" The old man took advantage of this interruption and hurriedly fled from the scene. I was left standing there, my sword still in hand, frustration boiling within me.

I hesitated, glancing at Remilia, who had her spear ready. I finally lowered my weapon, obeying her command.

"But Milady, he was one of the people involved in Siesta's accident," I said, the anger in my voice unmistakable.

"I know, Shun, but now isn't the time or place," she responded, concern in her eyes.

"You're wrong, Milady..." I forcefully pushed through the onlookers and sprinted away from her.

"Shun! Wait!"

After running a considerable distance, I looked around and recognized the area. The landscape was all too familiar. A massive mansion stood to the side, and my eyes widened.

"Damn it all..." I muttered as I looked at the mansion.

It was the mansion where I once lived and worked as a butler.

A deep rage surged within me, my thoughts consumed by thoughts of vengeance and the desire to kill.

With gritted teeth, I continued to walk away from the mansion, a burning determination in my heart.

"Old man... I swear in my life that I will find you and kill you."

"This hatred will not go away unless I put my hands on your throat."
