Chapter 106 - Japan (1)

Japan is bustling as always, The city nights are alive with bright neon lights and the constant hum of activity. It's a stark contrast to the serene and mystical Gensokyo. I take in the sights and sounds, feeling a mix of nostalgia and apprehension.

Remilia, who is holding my hand, looks around with curiosity and a hint of excitement. Her deep red eyes reflect the neon lights, giving her an almost otherworldly appearance.

She's clearly out of her element, but she carries herself with grace.

"Shun, this is your world," she says, her voice soft and filled with wonder. "It's so different from Gensokyo."

"Shun, this is your world," Remilia says, her voice filled with wonder. "It's so different from Gensokyo."

"Yes, Milady," I reply, taking in the bustling city around us.

Remilia gazes up at the bright moon in the night sky. "The moon is as wonderful as always."

I join her in admiring the moon. "Yes, it's a sight to behold."

After a moment, I release her hand and walk to the edge of the rooftop. "We're on a rooftop, and from what I remember, this is Tokyo, Japan."

Remilia looks at me with a hint of surprise. "You know where we are, Shun?"

"Yes, Milady, I've studied every corner of Japan, just in case something like this were to happen."

She smiles at me. "You're quite the reliable butler, Shun."

"Thank you, Milady," I say with a slight bow.

Remilia walks up beside me, her crimson dress fluttering in the breeze. The moon's gentle light reflects off her porcelain skin, making her seem almost ethereal.

We stand side by side, taking in the view of the city below.

"It's quite a sight," she remarks, her eyes still fixed on the bustling cityscape. "I can see why you wanted to return."

I nod, my gaze shifting from the moon to the horizon. "There are still things I need to take care of. Loose ends that I must tie up."

"So, Shun, what's your first move now that we're here?"

"It's quite clear, Milady," my eyes scanning the cityscape. "I'll begin by gathering evidence and then confront him."

She follows up, "You're not planning to take a more aggressive approach?"

I hesitate for a moment, then respond, "We'll see." My gaze remains fixed on the passing cars and bustling crowds.

I'm really back in Japan, huh?

Remilia raises an eyebrow. "Confront him and then decide, huh? That's uncharacteristic of you."

I turn back to her with a serious expression. "Milady, I left this world to protect you and I'll return to it to find the truth. If he's responsible for what happened, there will be consequences. But I won't act hastily."

She nods, her trust in me evident. "Very well, Shun. I'll stand by your side, no matter what path you choose."

I smile at her. "Thank you, Milady. Your support means the world to me."

I love you Lady Remilia.

"Well, shall we head out now?" Remilia inquires as she prepares to leave.

"Wait, Milady," I interject.

She arches an eyebrow, "What's the matter, Shun?"

"Are you planning to go out dressed like that?"

She glances down at her attire, "Is there an issue with my outfit?"

"Well, it's not a problem per se, but considering it's nearly November here in Japan, and Halloween costumes are acceptable, should we be concerned about potential run-ins with the police? Especially when you're..." I trail off, my gaze lingering on her revealing ensemble. I inwardly clench my teeth.

Suddenly, a solution pops into my head. "Milady, how about we buy some clothes?"

"Clothes?" Remilia raises an intrigued eyebrow. "That could be interesting. But how do you propose we purchase them without the currency of this world?"

Argh!! I forgot!

...

...

Wait I know who can!

Milady, I know where we can acquire currency! Please allow me to lead the way!"

"Fufu~ Very well."

And so it was settled. With Remilia carrying me, I directed us to the destination.

We soared through the night sky to avoid drawing attention; after all, it would be quite the spectacle for a seemingly young individual to carry someone like me.

And then after a brief flight, we arrived at our destination: a modest house. I knocked on the door, calling out, "Rita."

There was no response at first. I knocked again and raised my voice, "Rita!"

Footsteps echoed from behind the door, and it swung open. "Shun?!" Rita's eyes widened in surprise.

Indeed, Rita, the maid who initially sought to apprehend me. But after I explained my circumstances to her, she became an ally, aiding in the investigation to uncover the truth behind the incidents.

"It's been some time, Rita." I greeted her with a smile.
