Chapter 91 - A Spark of Feeling

The moonlight spilled into the room, casting a serene glow over everything. The night was as peaceful as ever.

I rose from my bed and began my usual morning routine. I glanced at the mirror, scrutinizing my reflection.

"The necktie..."

I meticulously adjusted my necktie, making sure it was perfectly straight. I checked myself in the mirror once more.

"Perfect."

I smiled, stretched my arms, and headed out of my room.

If you're wondering why I woke up tonight, it's because I heard that another full moon was gracing the night sky.

It had been a month since the incident that left every part of the mansion in shambles. As a butler, I had lent my hand in repairing everything, with Sakuya and Lady Patchouli by my side.

Well, Lady Flandre had also been involved...

In creating more chaos.

I sighed, feeling an unusual tiredness in my bones.

Heading to the kitchen, I spotted Sakuya carrying a crate.

"Sakuya."

She turned to me, a brilliant smile gracing her lips.

"Oh? Shun, you're awake."

Her smile was dazzling, a perfect 10/10.

I nodded, concern evident in my voice. "How are you feeling?"

"If you're asking about my injuries, they've already healed."

Phew... I'm glad to know that.

"Good to hear... By the way,  What's inside those crates?"

Sakuya paused, then turned to me. "Just some rations."

Eh? I see, rations but how is she carrying those crates with one arm?! Does she have muscles or something!?

"Where's Lady Remilia?" As if on cue, a loud thud echoed from outside.

Woah, That was loud!?

"Ahh... There they go." Sakuya sighed, returning to her task with the crates.

"Eh!? What do you mean?"

"Lady Remilia is currently dancing with Lady Flandre... If you catch my drift."

Understanding dawned on me, and I nodded.

"Would you like some help?"

"Please do," Sakuya replied, her smile warm, and together, we started moving the crates to the storage.

After a few minutes, we finished moving the crates.

My muscles were aching, and honestly, my whole body was screaming for a break.

Sakuya turned to me with a quizzical look. "Is something wrong, Shun? Are you tired?"

"N-No," I replied with a forced smile. "I'm fine."

"I see... Well then, I'll go help Lady Patchouli with her garden."

"Have a good night."

Sakuya nodded and started to leave, but then she poked her head back into the hallway. "Oh, by the way, would you mind checking on Lady Remilia and Lady Flandre?"

"Y-Yeah, of course!"

"Thank you." With that, she finally left, and I was alone again.

As I gazed out of the window, the moon's serene glow filled the room. It was a beautiful sight, and I couldn't help but be captivated by it. Yet, my mind was also occupied with thoughts and emotions that were difficult to put into words.

What was it that I was trying to do again?

  I forgot.

Suddenly, Lady Remilia's face flashed in my mind, and I shook my head as if to clear my thoughts. "That's right," I muttered to myself, "I need to check on them."

I wondered why I had spaced out like that, but there was no time to dwell on it. I had a duty to attend to.

With a sigh, I made my way to the clock tower, where I found Lady Flandre and Lady Remilia, both panting with their weapons at the ready.

"Oh? Shun! Do you want to play too?" Flandre asked, her eyes lighting up.

I smiled warmly. "I'd love to, Lady Flandre, but I'm on duty right now."

Flandre pouted and turned her head away. "You're a meanie..."

I couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm sorry, Lady Flandre."

"Hmph!" Lady Flandre pouted playfully.

But then, something strange happened. A sudden wave of dizziness washed over me, and I felt like I was losing consciousness.

My body grew heavy, and I couldn't move. All I could do was stare at Lady Remilia, who seemed to be in disbelief.

"Shun... Your left eye... It's red!"

Red? I hadn't activated that form yet. What was happening to me?

And then, with that unsettling thought, I lost consciousness.

After that strange experience of losing consciousness, I found myself in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by a void. It was eerie and unsettling.

Then, a voice called out to me. It was a voice I recognized, but I couldn't quite place it.

"Shun."

The voice echoed in the emptiness.

Suddenly, a white door appeared before me, radiating a brilliant light. I felt compelled to approach it and stepped through.

And then, I awoke, lying down and staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. My mind was foggy, and I couldn't remember how I had gotten here.

As I sat up, I noticed Lady Remilia lying beside me, holding my arm tightly.

What happened?

Wait... No! First of all...

Lady Remilia is in her nightdress!! Am I really allowed to look at her!?

No... Shun, you can't ogle your mistress, even if she is vulnerable," I told myself firmly. She was my mistress, and I needed to maintain proper decorum.

But her appearance in her nightdress was undeniably charming.

I wrestled with myself, torn between the desire to look away and the temptation to admire her beauty.

An internal battle raged within me.

Just then, Lady Remilia stirred. She opened her eyes and yawned, stretching her arms gracefully.

"You're finally awake," she said, her voice gentle and warm.

I hastily got off the bed and bowed deeply to Lady Remilia.

"Lady Remilia, I'm very sorry!" I stammered.

She blinked, seemingly taken aback. "What are you apologizing for? You didn't do anything wrong."

"Eh? But I didn't mean to sleep with you, and I promise I will take responsibility for the actions of what I did!"

Her eyes glowed with irritation, and I felt a shiver down my spine.

"Calm down, Shun," I muttered to myself. "You didn't do anything wrong."

"Ah... Thank God," I sighed in relief.

"But," she said, her voice turning frosty.

I looked up, fear gnawing at me.

"How dare you make a misunderstanding like that? Sleeping together, even though we're not even engaged... Don't get cocky."

I let out a terrified squeak. "Eek...! I'm so sorry! I shall take my leave now! I will accept any punishment! Spare me!"

Remilia sighed and her eyes returned to normal. "Whatever. I'll talk to you once I've calmed down. For now, leave my room."

"Gladly!" I practically bolted out of the room, leaving a disgruntled Lady Remilia behind.

She sighed again, covering her face with a pillow. "Don't get ahead of yourself. You're just one of my possessions," she muttered to herself.
