Days passed, and I remained in darkness, alone except for the occasional visits from the menacing voice. He would bring me blood to drink and tell me stories about the Mikaelsons and their power in the vampire world.
At first, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Vampires existed, and I was going to be reborn as one of the most powerful families in the world?
But as the voice spoke and fed me more information, everything started to click. The gaps in my memory were filled in, and I remembered how I had died.
I had been attacked by a rogue vampire, drained of blood until I was on the brink of death. But before I could pass on, I was taken by someone who wanted to use me for their own purposes.
And now here I was, reborn as a Mikaelson vampire, with a thirst for blood and power I had never known before.
But even as I started to accept my new reality, questions still gnawed at me. Who was this voice that kept coming to see me? And why had I been chosen to be reborn as a Mikaelson?
One day, as I lay in darkness, hungry and restless, the voice returned.
"Little one," he said, "it is time for you to see the truth about your rebirth."
Before I could protest or ask any questions, the darkness around me lifted, and I was suddenly in a warm, bright room. In front of me stood a tall, imposing figure dressed in black.
"Welcome to the Mikaelson compound," the figure said, "I am Elijah, one of the Mikaelson siblings."
Elijah. The name sent a jolt of recognition through me. I had heard the name before, in the stories the voice had told me.
"What am I doing here?" I asked.
"You are here because you have been reborn as one of us," Elijah said. "The voice that has been visiting you is our enemy, and he wants you for his own purposes. But we will protect you and teach you to control your powers."
Powers. The word echoed in my mind. What powers did I possess as a Mikaelson?
Elijah must have sensed my thoughts because he continued, "As a Mikaelson, you possess great strength, speed, and heightened senses. You can also compel humans and other weaker vampires to do your bidding. But with that power comes responsibility. You must learn to control your bloodlust and not let your emotions get the best of you."
I nodded, taking it all in. Everything was so overwhelming, but I knew deep down that I wanted to learn more about my new life as a vampire.
Elijah gestured for me to follow him, and we left the room, walking through the corridors of the Mikaelson compound. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as I looked around at the grandeur and opulence of the place.
As we walked, Elijah continued to talk, telling me about his siblings and their history. They were ancient vampires, turned by a powerful witch named Esther, who had wanted to create a family of vampires that could protect her from their enemies.
But even as the Mikaelsons became powerful and feared, they also had their own internal struggles and rivalries. These were things that I would have to learn, Elijah said, if I was going to survive and thrive as a Mikaelson.
For the first time since I had woken up in darkness, I felt a sense of excitement and curiosity about what lay ahead for me. I was a Mikaelson now, and I was ready to learn everything I needed to know to thrive in this new world.
