All Lauren felt was a rush of cold air around her.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself standing in a grand hall with vintage walls and elegant carpets, a stark contrast to the mysterious realm they had just left behind.
"Welcome back, girls. Hold on, am I hallucinating, or is my brother really standing beside you, Lauren?" Iris asked casually, a hint of surprise in his tone. Elliott, his hands in his pockets, took a step forward.
"It's no illusion, Iris," Elliott replied, a nonchalant grin on his face. "I thought I'd drop by after what feels like a decade since our last encounter."
"Indeed, it has been a while," Iris acknowledged, his expression calm. He moved forward and gave his brother a brief hug, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
He patted his shoulders as he took a good look at Elliott. Iris leaned back, his demeanour nonchalant, the smile disappearing as quickly as it had appeared.
