"Royal circus?" Lauren murmured. Why did this name seem so familiar? She wondered if she had heard it before but didn't remember where.
Understanding dawned upon Lauren as she remembered Vittoria mentioning Iris. "You are Iris, Vittoria's boyfriend? But why are you here?"
Iris smiled kindly. "Our father had cast a spell to bring me here to the Royal circus, but it seems the magic worked more effectively than I ever thought. I arrived just now on this side of the circus. And I must say, it's truly a pleasure to finally meet you, Lauren."
Lauren couldn't help but think as he told her their father, Elliott's father, was the one who spelled the cast and brought Iris to the Royal Circus. She had always known Elliott's family had magical powers, but she had never witnessed them firsthand.
Lavander peeked out from behind Lauren, her curiosity mingling with her fear. "You're Vittoria's boyfriend? But why would she let you here?"
