Hazel hurriedly walked towards the stairs of the university, her eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Lauren. As she made her way through the bustling hallways, she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Avel, one of her classmates, smiling at her.
"Hey, Hazel, where's the fire?" He joked, noticing her rushed demeanour. "Are you going to the lecture on modern art? I heard it's going to be really interesting," Avel said.
Hazel hesitated for a moment, torn between finding Lauren and attending the lecture. She knew how important it was to find Lauren, but the thought of missing out on the lecture made her heart sink.
Hazel sighed, "I can't find Lauren anywhere. Have you seen her?" Hazel asked, hoping that Avel had some information that could help her.
