"What story?" Lauren asked, intrigued. Noah pointed to the sculptures in front of them.
"The story of these creatures," he said. "They were once real and lived in this very forest. But now, they're just sculptures." Lauren and Zaiden looked at each other in amazement.
"That's a lie?" Lauren asked and insisted further on the answers. She saw Noah and Zaiden grinning while Hazel remained silent.
"Wow," Zaiden muttered under his breath. "I had no idea. Lauren couldn't believe what she was hearing.
She had always thought the sculptures were just for decoration, but now she realised there was a deeper meaning behind them. She felt a sense of wonder and curiosity, eager to learn more about the creatures that once roamed the forest.
"I am not." Noah informed Lauren, who turned and stared at Hazel, who was looking everywhere but at her. Lauren pulled Hazel towards her and made her look into her eyes.
