Chapter 1 - 1 Era Of Gods: Divine chaos

'' Thousands of years of war, slaughter, and unending tribulations, all because of your unholy greed for power beyond what any being should be wielding. ''

An ancient voice, full of immense power roared across different parts of the battlefield, tearing the fabric of reality into shreds.

'' Such an act of blasphemy that threatens the core of existence shall not be allowed to come into fruition. '' The voice bellowed with resolve, wrath contouring his tone.

Thunder and blood-red lightning travelled across the region, and space shattered like a thin glass just from the power of the voice.

Despite being in the dark, endless void, massive solid grounds were formed and they split open. Volcanoes erupted from the cracks with a force that seemed to carry the fury of the man.

In some parts of the war zone, large frozen terrain surfaced, and in another location, boiling black seas gushed out and dried up immediately.

Thick dark clouds expanded to infinite lengths across the endless space, which shielded any light from coming through.

A heaven-defying battle which would shatter anybody's mind was currently at its climax.

And as for those participating in this battle…

It was the supreme overlords of the heavens themselves. The supreme race that lorded over every other race.

Each figure here was of a ginormous body who wielded nigh absolute power and command.

Those with the smallest bodies rivalled the size of the moon, and some were ten times bigger. Even the strongest of metals could barely make a dent in their skin.

Everyone participating in this battle was in their divine forms, as that would give them the most power they needed to win this war.

With each step that each figure took, space would vibrate, tear, and collapse.

Grey ether storms that carried the agony of trillions of tortured souls blasted from different angles of the battlefield, corroding anything on its part.

With the passing of each second, thousands of souls were extinguished as their behemoths body fell to the ground, creating thunderclaps that were powerful enough to obliterate civilizations.

Millions of corpses scattered all over the place, forming giant mountains that were bigger than multiple lesser worlds combined.

Their blood flowed, giving birth to a sea of blood with bones and flesh as its debris.

Total annihilation!

That was the best way to describe the horrifying scene that was ongoing in the core of the chaotic void.

Everywhere reeked of cadaveric aura, which created a thick, black miasma that decayed the space itself.

Despite the grand numbers of death and destructions, though, more than a thousand figures of different shapes and sizes stood erect.

However, there was something bizarre about this battle.

These thousands of beings weren't fighting against each other.

They were all combining their forces to defend against one person.

It felt unreal, but yes, they were not powerful enough to be on the offensive side.

All they could do was defend in helplessness and watch their comrades fall with every second that passed.

They were all standing in a mythical formation that helped amplify their powers to fight against this one being.

As for the one controlling the formation, it was the man who spoke with resolution previously.

Well, not a man in real definition, but rather having a body similar to a human figure.

As for his size, multiple moons would fit in his body without feeling choked up.

He had long golden hair and metallic skin that shone with golden light.

He was fully clad in red and gold armour and a giant golden spear that could reduce a world to dust with just a strike.

Every vein and flesh of this figure screamed terrifying powers, as just his voice alone was creating thunderclaps and tearing space apart.

Yet, despite all the heavenly powers that this man and his comrades wielded, they were still at the mercy of one person

The man set his jet-black eyes, each the size of a mountain, on the figure they were all opposing with extreme hate.

'' Can't you feel the grievance of existence itself as you eliminate thousands of lives with every passing day? Or you believe they'll let you go? ''

His heart was pounding against his chest with sweat trickling down his back even though they were vaporized almost instantly.

'' Grievance of existence? Tsk, am I suppose to care? ''A lazy androgynous voice reverberated far and wide, reaching each of the beings they considered nothing but lowly ants.

'' To think that you all believe you could oppose me and go free…''

'' And you talked about blasphemy, huh? Who decides what is blasphemous and what is not? You all trampled on those below you and acted with might and haughtiness having no accountability for your actions, it's the hypocrisy for me? ''

'' Hehe, '' the voice giggled, '' he with the strongest might set the rules of the game. Right, wrong, good, evil, reverence, violation…they are all elements used by the strong to control the weak. ''

'' My existence itself is a curse, and to dare think of crossing my path is the biggest act of blasphemy. ''

'' And such impudence would invoke divine punishment, don't you think? ''

As if listening to their voice, a thick dark light whose heat humbled the sun shot downward from the dark cloud.

As soon as the defenders saw this dark light, most of them had a look of horror as they burnt their divine essence and life force to escape the predicament.

Despite burning most of their life force and divine essence, it wasn't until the dark light reached them that they knew how deadly it was.

'' Argh! ''

'' You shall know no peace. ''

'' I condemn you to never-ending suffering. ''

Loud wails of pain and curses resounded across the battlefield as hundreds of bodies were melted within a few seconds.

They all had multiple thoughts as they lost consciousness. Is this it?

The power that was said to rival that being…

'' At this rate, everyone will be vanquished before we could even do any tangible damage. '' Another powerful figure spoke through mind communication with the man leading the army of behemoths.

Fear was evident in the person's voice As half of their body parts were missing.

'' And they have not even used that yet… you know the implications more than we all do. '' The figure pressed further as she watched two of her comrades get blasted to smithereens.

'' Huh, '' The man being spoken to bit his lips and clenched his fists till the bones started breaking apart, '' is this all we could do after a thousand years of endless war? ''

He was asking a question in a soft voice, but no one could give him an answer. None of them expected this outcome at all.

'' We used to be the overlords, the strongest of all races that commanded respect and worship, yet we couldn't even stop an absolute extermination of a whole race…''

'' All by one anomaly that shouldn't be part of existence. ''

The others also had bloodshot eyes as they kept burning their life force to buy time. Even a second could determine their life or death.

The man started rising above the others. He kept looking at a particular point in space, but only a few knew what he was thinking.

'' If you think salvation would come, then you're very mistaken. They're bound by their own power. '' The androgynous voice reached everyone's ears, and they all gulped.

Many wanted to desert the battlefield, but they knew it was hopeless.

Some were even ready to surrender and become this being's slave if they would guarantee their lives. However, this being…

'' Pathetic individuals who thought they were something of relevance. '' The being thought to themselves.

To them, the ants below them were nothing worthy of attention.

The leader of the defenders looked around the battlefield, and his heart tightened, seeing the carnage.

'' Do we really have to resolve to that…'' The man had conflicting thoughts while thinking about what could tilt the battle.

But it comes with a great price that he wasn't willing to pay.

Another series of wails jolted the man from his thoughts as hundreds of bodies were again disintegrated, including the woman who was speaking to him earlier.

'' Arghh! '' The man had a look of madness seeing the scene, and he was infuriated beyond sanity.

'' Fine…''

'' Begin the infinite nanogram ritual,'' he roared through mind communication while clenching his hand tightly as his body tensed up.

As if waiting for this command for ages, every being present stabbed what seemed to be their hearts as they began the infinite nanogram ritual.

They all loathed this being, and they wanted to see nothing but his end, even if it would cost theirs.

The terrifying figure that they were all opposing at first maintained their lazy attitude.

However, as soon as the being saw this display, they knew what the others were up to. The being's eyes, for the first time, sharpened, and their heart palpitated in fear and horror of what was coming.
