The only things Alexander had done publicly as William were killing Silas at Elixirium and killing Zarek at the Order Association in Lysander City.
Both of them were Devourers.
So... the fact that this Xander knew the name William suggested he was likely connected to the Devourers.
"I think I have a pretty good idea who you are," Alexander said.
"It seems this is your true form, William," Xander said calmly, despite having his throat constricted.
"Why are you controlling Xander? Just to investigate me?" Alexander asked.
Xander suddenly grinned. "William, you overestimate yourself. You're merely a minor curiosity to Caelum Nightshade. He wouldn't go through all this trouble just for you."
