"I'm fine. Nothing happened," Xander said.
His answer was a shot of reassurance for the Arcanvale Empire's core members, who had been on edge for the past month.
"That's good to hear. Should we ask the priests to hold a blessing ceremony? We've had too many misfortunes lately," Tavish, Xander's second son, suggested.
"Misfortunes?" Xander frowned.
"Isolde is ill, and ..." Tavish explained, recounting the events of the past two weeks.
"Demon followers?" Xander's expression changed slightly upon hearing that name.
"Father, don't you think it's dangerous? According to historical records, demons are incredibly powerful beings. If it weren't for the supreme hero who descended two thousand years ago and saved us, the consequences would have been unimaginable..." Tavish said.
"How is Isolde doing?" Xander asked after a moment of contemplation.
