Alexander returned to Lake City.
He first checked on his vegetable garden and found everything in order.
The fence he had built was working perfectly; no wild animals had managed to break in.
Alexander picked a few fresh vegetables, carrying them in his hand as he headed back to his residence.
He pushed open the door to find the entire living room spotless. The furniture was neatly arranged, and the floor was gleaming.
"Alexander, you're back," Linda emerged from the inner room, a charming smile gracing her beautiful face.
"How long have you been here?" Alexander asked.
"Since the day we went to Moonheart Lake. I came back here after you left," Linda replied, taking the vegetables from him. "Are you hungry?"
Alexander hadn't eaten in over a month. He was both hungry and thirsty.
"Of course," he said.
"Then... I'll make you some noodles," Linda said, turning towards the kitchen.
