Behind the man stood piles of storage bags.
Further back, there were a dozen locked chests.
Those storage bags likely belonged to the adventurers who had ventured into this tower and met their demise.
"Just like the rumors outside, there's quite a bit of treasure here," Alexander remarked.
Seeing Alexander before him, the man took several steps back, his face filled with fear.
Alexander, meanwhile, turned his gaze back to the man, scrutinizing him.
The man was much younger than Alexander had expected, dressed in luxurious robes, with an ordinary face and long hair draped over his shoulders.
"You were the one speaking to me earlier, right?" Alexander asked.
The man stared at Alexander, trying to maintain his composure as he said, "Yes, I am the master of Obsidian Tower."
"Obsidian Tower?" Alexander raised an eyebrow.
He hadn't heard of this name before, and it didn't match the rumors of Ebonfire Tower at all.
