The ground beneath Red Flame exploded, sending him flying through the air.
Moros, who he had been holding, slipped from his grasp.
Vivienne's body emitted a burst of purple light as the crystal energy within her surged. She dashed forward to Moros, catching him just in time.
Then, turning around, she saw Alexander's figure some dozens of meters away, her heart sinking.
As expected, Alexander had caught up.
"Leader, stick to the plan. You take Moros and leave, Red Flame and I will handle the aftermath," Maxwell said with a grave expression.
"No, you take Moros. I'll hold him off," Vivienne immediately shook her head in response.
"Leader..." Maxwell's expression grew more serious.
"Neither of you is a match for him, not even for a second," Vivienne said sternly. "There's no need for pointless sacrifices. Retreat now!"
