The deeper Jace walked, the more he felt something was off.
Turning to look at Mia, he noticed her expression remained calm, without a trace of panic.
He knew his sister was meticulous and certainly wouldn't miss the oddities of the Sunset Commerce Guild.
But Mia's composure suggested she had a plan or countermeasure in mind, so there was no need for panic.
With this thought, Jace's expression relaxed considerably.
Seth led Mia and the others into the drawing room, stopping before a table.
"Miss Mia, and the two gentlemen, please have a seat," Seth said.
The trio sat down together.
A sultry woman entered the room, bringing with them three glasses of juice.
"Miss Mia, I admire your courage. To remain calm and composed in such a dangerous situation is truly impressive," Seth remarked, looking at Mia.
"It's nothing, I'm just a bit slow to react," Mia replied with a smile.
