It was quite a lovely evening, thought Olaf Meiden as he looked toward his son and his boyfriend. David was a wonderful breath of fresh air in this world steeped in stagnation. He is an intelligent boy who, not knowing what to say, remained silent. Many old businessmen could learn from him.
Well, and he loved Gustav. This was evident in his eyes, which were always looking for Olaf's son, and when they found him, they were filled with joy. It was evident in small gestures, such as the one when he immediately moved toward Gustav when the latter reappeared in company. This small subconscious gesture said so much! And most of all, it said how much Gustav was loved.
And Gustav would need love.
