The decision had been made. Lasocki walked out of the cantina and looked at the men waiting for him.
"We are not waiting until nightfall. We're doing the transfer right away," he informed them. "The two Norwegians are going in one transport, the others in another," he said.
"Are we separating them?" asked Janusz. Was it surprise or displeasure?
"We have buyers for them."
Lasocki expected to hear some objection from Janusz. After all, he was the one who negotiated off his back to free them for ransom. He was wrong. The former soldier straightened up, probably out of old habit, and replied.
"Yes, sir! I'll take care of it."
