"Julius doesn't come back for a long time," noted David looking toward the door. His head no longer hurt so much and he had the strength to get up. The whole situation filled him with anxiety, but he was together with Gustav and that gave him comfort.
Meanwhile, Julius was alone.
"Do you think he will be able to negotiate something?" he added without getting a reaction from Gustav.
"Hm? Yes, certainly."
Gustav was clearly more concerned about the whole situation. He tried to hide it, but his nervousness was clear. Perhaps he knew more about the whole affair than he wanted to admit. Maybe he knew something about the situation with Julius, which is why he glanced toward the door so often.
