Decorating a church for a wedding, first communion or some other occasion was nothing new for David and his father. They were the only company in the area growing flowers and arranging gardens. So they had no competition. So they were almost constant suppliers of flowers to four parishes.
Of course, just because they had no competition didn't mean they could afford to be unprofessional. Both David and his father tried to make sure that everything was always buttoned up and prepared in such a way that the customer had no complaints. Although sometimes they just couldn't meet someone's requirements. For example, they couldn't decorate the church with lily of the valley in the middle of winter.
