The preparation of the coffee was taken care of by David. Seeing him engaged in this activity, Gustav recalled his publishing house and his father's business.
"What would you say," he asked, "if I bought a coffee maker?"
"A coffee maker?" David looked at him puzzled. "Don't you like my coffee?"
"No, it's not like that! I like it, but using an coffee machine is faster and more convenient."
"I don't know why you ask me. This is your kitchen."
Gustav did not want such an answer, but did he have the right to expect another?
"The kitchen is mine, but I think I gave you the right to use it freely. I also gave you a room, so I would rather you think of this palace, the kitchen too, as a place where you will be comfortable."
Did David lower his eyes because he was embarrassed? No, this guy was so straightforward and sincere that little things like this had no right to impress him.
