David didn't understand the question.
"What did you do to me?" he asked in return. "Are you still blaming yourself for that first time?"
"You said yourself that it was my fault."
"When?"
"Then at the disco, when I saw you with that boy."
David recalled that unfortunate scene. True, he thought with shame. He then said some harsh words to Gustav, but he wasn't the one who started it. It was Meiden who was then even more unpleasant.
"But that was then and this is now," he said as if that would explain everything..
Gustav took a deep breath, loosened his grip and David did the same. It was so strange to be with Meiden, who was so sensitive and fragile, completely different from the dominant and somewhat aggressive guy he was at the beginning. Strange, but not in a negative sense.
