Chapter 29 - Kingdom of Onogoro

[ Kingdom of Onogoro - Throne Room ]

The throne room of Onogoro was a marvel to behold.

The walls were made of a polished metal that emitted a soft blue light, casting a peaceful aura throughout the room.

The centerpiece of the chamber was a colossal throne crafted from gleaming silver, adorned with precious gems that sparkled in the light.

King Izanagi, resplendent in his futuristic regalia, sat atop the throne with perfect posture.

He wore robes that shimmered with iridescence, the hues and shades shifting with his every movement. The fabric was embroidered with intricate patterns that depicted ancient Onogoro mythology in breathtaking detail.

The king radiated strength and power, his broad shoulders and chiseled jawline commanding attention. His piercing eyes, full of keen intelligence, took in everything around him.

But the tranquility of the throne room was suddenly disturbed by the whining of Prince Susanoo.

"FATHER!! It's obvious to everyone that I had been set up!"

Prince Susanoo's voice was high-pitched and filled with annoyance.

"Are you really going to let this bitch wipe out the Yamamoto Group and force me to fork out the 500 million aeons? "

King Izanagi's voice boomed within the throne room as he scolded his son.

"Mind your manners, that's your elder sister and your future queen! Grow up and stop being so naive, when has the truth ever mattered?"

King Izanagi's voice was firm and commanding, his tone brooking no dissent.

The room fell silent, save for the sound of Prince Susanoo's grumbling.

King Izanagi's voice was deep and hoarse, echoing within the throne room. His disappointment and annoyance were written clearly on his well-chiseled face as he spoke.

"You run around with a bunch of hoodlums and you're surprised that this is how you've ended up? You can't even outsmart a three year old Astral… If Emperor Aion and Empress Shi Kong were still here I'd have died of embarrassment! "

Prince Susanoo's iris shot back and forth, as if to be concocting some devious plan, with a grin he muttered,

"If the Astralian Emperor and Empress are gone, why bother with them? In fact, we should take this chance to conquer them!"

The crackling sound of suppressed lighting filled the throne room as King Izanagi's patience reached its limit.

"SCRAM!" he bellowed.

"How could such foolishness bear my name? Empress Dowager Tai Sui can flatten the entire Kingdom of Onogoro in a second if she were forced!!"

He took a deep breath and then continued, his voice calmer but no less stern.

"Have the assets and aeons sent to me directly by the end of today, or lose your princehood. We shall speak of this no further… You are dismissed!"

Prince Susanoo turned around and walked toward the exit of the throne room, both hands clenched so tightly that droplets of blood trickled down.

His eyes were filled with a veiled contempt, and a red sparkle flickered in his irises, betraying his hidden rage.

Flanking King Izanagi on either side were his eldest daughter Omikami and youngest daughter Tsukuyomi.

Princess Omikami was a breath-taking beauty in her early twenties, her long silky red hair tumbling down her white diaphanous kimono, matching exactly with her crimson obi.

Her voluptuous curves were an unavoidable magnet but her authoritative demeanor and regal aura shunned wandering eyes.

Princess Tsukuyomi on the other hand was still a little girl. She was a delicate vision of loveliness. Her light blue hair fell in a silky waterfall down her back, and her futuristic kimono shimmered with intricate designs that glowed with a soft inner light.

Despite their obvious beauty, the princesses stood humbly and respectfully beside their father, their heads bowed and hands clasped in front of them.

King Izanagi, however, wore a troubled expression as he pondered his son's behavior.

"What have I done wrong with this boy?"

He asked aloud, his gaze shifting from his daughters to the empty space where his son had been.

Omikami let out a sigh, responding with empathy,

"Brother Susanoo is still young, and he's always surrounded by those conniving elders and meddling with the Yakuza. It's no surprise that he would be led astray."

Tsukuyomi nodded in agreement, her expression reflecting her concern for her brother.

King Izanagi let out a weary sigh, his face etched with lines of worry.

"I know he's been at odds with you but devising such a ploy this time is pretty harsh, he's been humiliated in front of the entire Tertius…"

King Izanagi said, voicing his concerns to Princess Omikami.

"Father, it was Prince Chronos who approached me with a deal, I just took the opportunity to hopefully teach brother Susanoo a lesson."

She explained, hoping to ease her father's worry.

King Izanagi listened intently as Princess Omikami briefed him on the details of the deal and what had transpired earlier that day.

"HAHAHA, Aion and ShiKong have got an interesting kid! Pull up Prince's MetaVerse Page for me."

"He has 130 million followers despite having 0 posts??" Izanagi asked incredulously.

Princess Tsukuyomi's eyes widened as she heard the conversation about Prince Chronos.

Her small hands clasped together in front of her chest, and she bounced up and down on the balls of her feet.

A wide smile spread across her face, revealing her glee at the mere mention of his name.

Her blue hair swayed as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She couldn't contain her excitement any longer and blurted out,

"Yes! Prince is the top duelist in Telluria Online! Undefeated since the start of the SRPG! Most importantly, he wins with average gear and has more than 300 wins!"

Her voice was filled with adoration, and she looked up at her father and sisters, hoping they shared her enthusiasm for the renowned duelist.

King Izanagi's expression turned thoughtful as he considered the implications of Prince Chronos's skill in Telluria SRPG.

" He was born a year after the launch of Telluria SRPG and has been actively playing it… did Empress Dowager Tai Sui..."

"Father, what's the situation with Telluria SRPG?"

Princess Omikami interrupted his thoughts,

"The realism of this SRPG surpasses anything Tertius has had by miles, the technology is unheard of and there is no news about its creators or the company running it…"

She explained, her voice tinged with curiosity.

"And, though the high level of technology warrants its popularity, all 4 human kingdoms/empires and even the Dadirri seem to have been actively promoting it to their citizens…"

Princess Omikami questioned, her eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.

"All I can say is that your observations make sense…"

King Izanagi turned to Princess Tsukuyomi and smiled, " Are you a big fan of this Prince?"

Princess Tsukuyomi's face turned beet red, and she lowered her head, stammering,

"W-what? I..."

"HAHAHA… Would you like to marry him one day?"

King Izanagi teased, but both his daughters could tell that he acknowledged the young prince's worth.
