A stream of numbers cascaded down, each one settling on top of a cadet's head like a crown.
The cadets shifted uneasily, each one wondering who would be selected first.
Finally, the projection settled on a number, and a gasp echoed through the hall as a " 1 " settled on the head of a female cadet.
The female cadet's hair caught the light and shimmered like stardust, a striking shade of silver that seemed to change with every movement she made.
Amongst a wave of subtle gasps of relief, the rest of cadets, including Chronos, were beamed out onto an observation deck which oversaw the Grand Hall of the Colosseum.
"Oh! Theia's going first! I hope she does well!"
