He had been searching for a place of solitude for so long that the release of emotions was overwhelming.
The sea of clouds before him seemed to soak up the sound of his cries, as if it was a natural response to the relief he was feeling.
As the tears slowed, Chronos wiped them away and took a deep breath.
The A.I. monk levitated to Chronos's line of sight and waved, its emotionless voice breaking the silence.
"You can explore your territory after I'm done with my basic introductions."
It said with a snap of a finger, teleporting them both into the stone hut by the waterfall.
Chronos was struck by the hut's lack of ornamentation.
The rough-hewn stone walls were devoid of any decoration, and the only source of light came from a small circular window that provided a view of the waterfall outside.
