Chronos's eyes were fixed on the thick glowing roots of the Tree of Life wrapped around the limbs of Adam.
He turned to Xelithos, his voice filled with urgency.
"Can you let Adam out?"
Xelithos's face tightened, his eyes darkening as he looked at the roots and then at Adam.
"The key to the core technologies within the Garden is the blood of thoroughbred Annunaki. When we first designed this cellar, it was the three of us—Enlil, Enki, and I—that became the keys…"
He paused, his voice trailing off as memories of a distant past flickered through his mind.
Turning his gaze to Adam, he continued, his voice heavy with concern,
"If I were to unlock the mechanism myself, I would be losing a dangerous amount of my blood, which will weaken me for a significant period of time…"
Adam's eyes narrowed, and he scoffed at Xelithos's hesitation.
"You don't have to worry; we're all in the same boat now."
