RUDY... RUDYY... The King of Fendrie frantically ran, searching, calling out a slave's name, bewildering everyone in the palace.
"Why is the king himself going for a lowly slave? Shouldn't His Highness just summon him to his office or court?" is what they thought.
Anyway, now King Kladus was healthy enough to do some sprinting if he could not find Bowen.
"Princess, why don't you try this lace for this cloth? You can also…" Kladus found Bowen and Shira at last. They were in Shira's workroom, with Bowen helping his daughter make a new dress.
"There you are! You have time to think about new dresses. How leisurely can you be in this perilous situation?" hollered Kladus, his face stiff, gasping for breath.
"Father, Rudy was... was just... not his fault... it's mine... so..." Shira stammered.
"His Highness, isn't my utmost priority serving the princess. I am just doing my job."
