Bowen focused intensely on the small red particles swirling around him. One by one, he absorbed them into his body, stringing them together into thin threads. He circulated them along a specific path within his body until he stored them in his mana vessel, forming a pool of glowing red liquid. With his will, these turbulent and ferocious elemental particles became docile and obedient to Bowen's every command. Bowen opened his palm, and a small orange flame flickered, casting a faint light. Finally, after two weeks of life-and-death struggle, Bowen had successfully mastered his first elemental mana.

"Hey, I'm happy with the missions and rewards, but are those 'P.S.' remarks necessary? Now you're mocking me directly, huh?"
System: I am an impartial artificial intelligence. I don't have a separate will, host. I only state the truth.
"Whatever. You won't accept it anyway. Do as you like. Let me see how you talk with the same tone when I become powerful."
"I bet you won't survive without me, even when you become a powerful entity," whispered the System, but Bowen intentionally ignored it and started contemplating the missions.
Mastering the second element was the easiest mission out of the three. He had already mastered one element in three weeks. With five weeks remaining under Gia's tutelage, he could definitely master the second element. The other two missions posed a problem. He had already planned to invest in the chocolate business, but it wouldn't count since it was his own business, even though he only owned 50% of it. Where could he find another business to invest in? Moreover, would anyone believe in a six-year-old child and allow him to invest in their business?
"The power quest is the trickiest of all," Bowen thought. "I could hide my powers well and live without drawing attention from the big players. But if I register to become a certified Ranker, my name will be recorded along with my age and other information in the Ranker's Database Hub of the Magician Association. Furthermore, if such a young person becomes an official Ranker, many people will become alert and try to exploit me." Bowen decided that he must consult with Gia about this after he finished his training. For now, Bowen had another big problem to take care of—the Raven Gang.
5 Days later -#mid Night - outskirts of Aswalt -south#
A Dwarf figure moved discreetly and silently through the uneven roads of the slums. With each step, he exuded a confidence that surpassed anyone who dared to trespass in the slums. His journey came to a sudden halt at the end of a narrow street, blocked by a wall. However, contrary to what one might think, this was not the end of the slums.
"Master, over here," Casper said, perched on a worn-out house adjacent to the wall. Upon entering, instead of finding the interior of a house, they discovered another dark, narrow alley devoid of people. This alley marked the territory of the Raven gang. Bowen could hear the hustle and bustle from the main road, which lay at the end of the narrow alley. Bowen held an object resembling a fist-sized ball and sent Casper to the end of the alley to gather information.
"Master, there aren't many people on the main road. I spotted a total of five individuals patrolling the streets. It seems like there are many lit houses; I believe the others are inside," Casper reported, sharing his vision with Bowen.
"Good. Let's avoid causing any commotion that might alert those inside the houses. Our target for now is the ones patrolling the streets," Bowen instructed.
"Yes, master. I understand. I will lure them in," Casper replied.
Casper took flight, ascending to a height of eight meters from the ground to gain a clear view of the street. The main road formed a circle, with each man crossing the narrow alley where Bowen hid at ten-minute intervals. Casper spotted the nearest guardsman from the Raven gang and flew towards him, deliberately making chipping sounds to attract attention.
"Huh! A bird? Wait, isn't that a stylus? Wow, I'm lucky today. If I can gift this to my girlfriend, she will definitely leave that bastard Cob and come to me," the Raven gang guardsman exclaimed, running after Casper. His focus was solely on capturing the bird, causing him to let his guard down without inspecting his surroundings. As Casper flew into the narrow alley, the guardsman stepped into the alley, and at that moment, Bowen threw the ball in his hand. Thick smoke emerged from the ball, enveloping the Raven gang member. Within seconds, his head grew dizzy, and all he could see was a short figure approaching him with a dagger. Before he could comprehend the situation, he fainted.
Bowen didn't kill him but instead incapacitated him by severing his hands and legs, and then stored him in his space bracelet.
"Casper, onto the next one," Bowen commanded. He had to resort to such methods since he was not yet powerful enough to face an E-ranker directly. After all, he was only a beginner E-ranker.
Casper lured the other two patrolmen from the Raven gang, one by one, and they met the same fate, losing their limbs and being stored in the space bracelet.
The fourth patrolman appeared more vigilant than the rest. It was evident that he possessed the ability to manipulate wind, as he skillfully employed his wind magic to divert some of the sleeping gas. However, he seemed slightly disoriented from inhaling a portion of it. Bowen capitalized on this momentary weakness, swiftly employing his quick dash and palm skills to strike the rogue's chest. The attack caught him off guard, leaving him defenseless. Unfortunately, the rogue managed to deflect Bowen's second attack, a punch aimed at his face. Sensing that his assailant was likely a warrior, the rogue decided to keep his distance and avoid engaging Bowen up close. With graceful steps, almost as if gliding on the wind, he quickly retreated, creating a two-meter gap between himself and Bowen.
"Haha, let me see how you parry my attack," the rogue taunted confidently. He unleashed an arc of wind, resembling a blade, towards Bowen. Reacting swiftly, Bowen erected a shield of mana, resulting in a clash of forces that destroyed both the wind arc and the mana shield.
"Huh? You're a magician too?" the rogue exclaimed in surprise. "You possess considerable talent, but it's a shame you're not up to my level."
Undeterred, the wind magician launched successive arcs of wind energy, one after another. Bowen managed to parry one of the arcs with his mana shield, but it was clear that the next one would find its mark. Dodging was not a viable option, as the wind energy arcs were approaching with such tremendous speed that even his quick dash, combined with his agility of 34, could not guarantee his escape. However, to the rouge's amazement, as the arcs were about to touch Bowen, they dissipated into thin air. It was then the rogue noticed a bright shield automatically forming in front of him. This shield blazed with fiery intensity, seemingly capable of engulfing anything it came into contact with.
"You... You're a D ranker?" the rogue shouted in fright. "It's common knowledge that only D rankers can manipulate elements to create defensive shields." Realizing he didn't have time to waste, he planned to strategically retreat and seek help from the other members in the nearby dwellings. As he turned to run, a sharp lance of mana pierced his back, followed by two more piercing his legs, causing him to collapse and rendering him unable to escape. Bowen knelt down, retrieved his bone dagger, and swiftly slit the rogue's throat instead of severing his limbs. He then cut the tendons in his legs and placed him in his space bracelet, immobilizing him.
Bowen possessed three advantages in this fight that led to his victory. Firstly, the sleeping gas prevented the wind magician from fully showcasing his power. Secondly, the rogue mistakenly believed Bowen was a martial artist. And thirdly, Bowen had his fire shield. However, as a beginner E ranker, he still couldn't conjure a fire shield himself. The shield, known as The Aegis of Fire, was acquired by Bowen from the system during his first random skill gacha. It activated immediately after he mastered the fire element. This triumph prompted Bowen to exercise caution moving forward and to train his fire element in order to at least contend with a peak E ranker. Of course he could have used an ignition Balloon and ended the fight much more easily. but Bowen wanted to test the extent of his powers. what is a good way than this?
"Master, the next one is coming," Casper said, alerting Bowen as he ran towards the last patrolman. Bowen thought that once he dealt with the last one, he could leave the scene for the time being. However, what the master and familiar couple didn't anticipate was that this individual was shrewd enough to carry attack and defensive artifacts at all times.
Upon catching Casper's attention, the rogue quickly took out a tube-like object and hurled it in Casper's direction. The tube burst open, forming a mana net around Casper, rendering him unable to fly. Both Casper and Bowen were shocked by this unexpected turn of events. Seizing the opportunity, the rogue grabbed Casper with a smile and promptly entered one of the nearby houses, which appeared to be the gathering place for a group of raven gang members.
With Casper's vision shared with Bowen, he could clearly see that there were four more members of the raven gang inside the house.
"Shit, how should I handle five of them at once?" Bowen exclaimed, feeling overwhelmed and panicked by the situation.
