Her lips parted and her eyes fell on Jackson's long and slender fingers before she took a tiny bite of the toast.
She closed her mouth and swallowed the toast slowly.
After the first bite, Nidia was feeling very uneasy and insisted on eating by herself.
"We're just having breakfast. There's no need for you to carry me."
Jackson's gloominess was nowhere to be seen and in its place was indifference.
However, hiding beneath that indifference was his passionate love for her.
"I know there's no need," he said slowly.
She stared at him.
His Adam's apple bobbed, and his gaze deepened while he breathed softly into her ears, "But I like having you in my arms every single day."
She could feel her face burning up.
The piece of toast was by her mouth again.
