Nidia wanted to say something, but she was at a loss for words.
It felt like he could solve all kinds of difficult problems.
But she was still scared.
She was scared of his grandfather, scared that this was just the beginning.
"Jackson..."
Still looking at her, the man spoke with an unwavering gaze. "Let's say we start living separately. What then? Act like we have nothing to do with each other anymore?"
His voice was so cold that it almost made her shiver.
She wanted to communicate calmly but Jackson's cold demeanor was making it impossible.
Jackson locked eyes with her.
"Tell me. What does it mean to have nothing to do with each other? We would eat and sleep separately. In other words, it would mean that we will not meet each other anymore. Nidia, tell me. How is this any different from breaking up?"
His voice was dripping with disappointment. "Or are you saying that you can accept a life without me?"
