Abby clenched her wrist tightly, and there were tears in her eyes. She looked so pitiful and looked up at the tall straight man beside her father.
Jackson, however, simply walked past Barend and went straight to Nidia, lowering his head and lifting her face. He frowned and looked at her carefully.
Facing the man's concern, Nidia raised her eyes and shook her head gently at him.
The man breathed a sigh of relief and his twisted eyebrow went back to normal. He stroked her head with his big hand and said, "It is good that you are fine."
Barend scolded, "Weren't you two supposed to make noodles? You just went into the kitchen for a while, now there are blood and knife. Abby, what is wrong with you?!"
Abby bit her lip and it seemed that she didn't expect that her father just accused her without even mentioning Nidia by the name.
