Eloise didn't expect her daughter, of all people, to say such things. She widened her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows. "Sophia Roberts! Are you even my biological daughter? How dare you say such things! Do you think your mother has it really easy now?"
Sophia smiled sarcastically. "Heh."
The restaurant was spacious, and there weren't many diners inside. Thus, Sophia wasn't worried that others might overhear their conversation. "Aunt Stone's child disappeared 25 years ago. Weren't you the one who lost her, Mom?"
Eloise stared at her own daughter, visibly shocked. She wished she could slap Sophia in the face.
'How did I manage to give birth to such a defiant little brat? Not only is she useless, she goes against me all the time!'
Sophia was still drowning in sadness at the knowledge that Jackson had a woman by his side. She was in so much despair, that she released all her anger on Eloise.
